Aramas Hotels & Resorts in the Middle-East


Without confining its expansion within the shores of Malaysia, Puteri Hotels Sdn Bhd has taken its expertise to venture further afield into the Middle-East, currently the seat of surging economic growth. It has formed a new joint-venture hospitality management company with Arab Resort Areas Company (ARAC), a conglomerate based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will soon be launching its own international hotel brand, Aramas Hotels and Resorts. The brand is representing Malaysia’s renowned warm hospitality in the foreign shores. The Aramas Hotel Madinah, located opposite the Nabawi Holy Mosque, is scheduled to open its doors in September 2009.

Arab Resort Areas Company


The Arab Resort Areas Company (ARAC) was established as a Saudi joint stock company on 30 April 1997 and is a subsidiary of Taiba Investment and Real Estate Development Company which deals with the ownership, management and investment of real estate, hotels, resorts and hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Expanding its owning company’s portfolio, ARAC’s business objectives are the following:-
  • Establishing, owning, purchasing, leasing and renting hotels, rest places, restaurants, plants and parks
  • Provide recreational services such as sports clubs, swimming pools, private tourist beaches and villages, equestrian clubs and game stalls
  • Provide tourist services such as Travel & Tourism agencies, with air, land and sea transfers as well as shipping activities
  • Rent-a-car services
  • Organise Hajj and Umrah services
ARAC currently owns and operates the Taiba Residential Suites, the Arac Yanbu Resort and the Arac Hotel Al-Ula.

Puteri Hotels Sdn Bhd


Puteri Hotels Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian-based hotel company, a subsidiary of Johor Corporation, vested with a portfolio of managing and developing hotels, resorts and convention venues. It currently operates and markets various brands which total 1300 rooms and 15,000 sq. metres of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Convention & Exhibition) space. Under its wing are five hospitality properties and a convention centre; the 5-star Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru, Persada Johor International Convention Centre, the exclusive and private island of Sibu Island Resort, and three Selesa Hotels, which are Hotel Selesa Johor Bahru, Hotel Selesa Pasir Gudang and Selesa Beach Resort Port Dickson.
